Wedding Planning

There is a great deal of planning that goes into any large event but a wedding takes a lot of planning and organising. You have to make sure that the venue is booked, the dress fits, the bridesmaids have their dresses, the flowers are going to be there, the minister is well, the music is still on, the reception hall is ready, the guest are coming, your bride or groom is coming and the rings are there! Like I said: a lot of planning for a wedding!!!

A wedding needs to be carried out with most organising as possible, everything should run smoothly without any hitches and that requires a lot of planning. Usually families and friends get together to sort out the wedding but sometimes people hire a wedding planner! They are quite expensive but have a lot of expertise in the field of weddings; I think that they have a great job!

Wedding planning requires a knack, a knack to know how things work and how things will go, you need to be confident enough to ensure that the day runs as smooth as a lake and not like a waterfall, in fact water features are great at a wedding keep that in mind!

Wedding Planner

Many people plan their weddings with their family and friends and partner, but some people who can afford to splash their cash hire a wedding planner. If you have seen the film “Wedding Planner” that does not always happen, trust me, you need not be worried about your husband running away with the wedding planner. A wedding planners job is to basically help you take the weight of the wedding of your shoulders and take the brunt of it on theirs, they do most of the organizing you just do the choosing. They are there to help make your day even more special, and make you pay quite a bit more!!!

But does a wedding planner really make a difference in a wedding? Do they make it all that more organized? Do they really add that missing touch? The truth is no, yes they help you with the organising but it is like someone else takes over your special day, you don’t have a lot of say in things and things just seem to take heed with you standing back and watching your wedding planner make all the decisions. Sometimes you get a wedding planner that is great and you get on well but other ones are like the devil let loose and rain on your parade!

Wedding

People often respond to invitation with a phone call so a list needs to be updated regularly by the bride or groom and unfortunately there is always someone who needs to pull out at last minute so be aware that this could very easily happen to you.

When creating the wedding invitation make sure that you include the feeling of the wedding that you will be having, is it going to be a massive stunning church wedding, or a beautiful peaceful garden wedding? All these factors need to be included in the invitation and no doubt people will be asking you what to wear so make sure you include whether the dress code is formal or informal.

Although the wedding invitations are a bid deal the most serious part is that the bride and groom are together on this very special day, they are the most important people on this special day!

Invitation Etiquette

Getting Down to the Particulars
Numbers are important when preparing a wedding invitation. Knowing how many invitations to mail and when to mail them are important numbers for your wedding invitation. The general guidelines for sending out invitations to your wedding is six weeks to 12 months before the ceremony. If you are inviting guests from out-of-town you should allow an extended amount of time for the individual to receive the wedding invitation and to make arrangements to attend.

Unless everyone who receives a wedding invitation will be invited to the reception, it is standard practice to include a separate card announcing the particulars of the reception with the wedding invitation of those you intend to invite to the reception. No matter how you plan, you will always need an extra wedding invitation. As a rule, it is a good idea to order at least 25 extra invitations.

Considering Style
When your guests receive their wedding invitation, they should receive more than a simple card with information on it. Add as much creative flair to your wedding invitation that you possibly can. Ideas for making a wedding invitation unique include adding color, accessories, and aromas. You can experiment with each of these elements when deciding on the style of wedding invitation to use or view samples from a printer, online catalog, or those within a stationary shop.
