The Wedding dress of Your Dreams

A good start for ideas for designing a wedding dress is to consider the theme of the wedding. Is the wedding going to be held in the summer? Winter? Outdoors? Indoors? Answers to these questions can have a significant bearing on the style of wedding dress you design. For example, an outdoor wedding in Texas in the month of August surely necessitates a wedding dress that will not have you soaked in perspiration. You can also consider how formal the wedding ceremony is going to be. Don't have a design already in your head? While bridal magazines offer more trendy wedding dress styles, you can obtain some ideas to use to design your own wedding dress.

While you are free to design a wedding dress that reflects your own personal style, it will more than likely follow one of the standard shapes available for wedding dresses: A-line, empire, straight, ball gown, mermaid, or strapless. The shape of your body is a helpful factor in deciding the shape of wedding dress that is most appropriate for you. If you have a full figure, or what is considered a "pear" shape, an A-line style dress may work best for you. A dress with this style accents the top-half of the body that is smaller while concealing a larger bottom half. Not many women opt for the straight wedding dress, including women with coke-bottle figures, for whom this style of wedding dress was designed to fit. If you don't really fit either of these two, a ball gown may be the choice for you. This style of wedding dress features a more snug look at the waist with an exaggerated full skirt. If you're not sure which style is best for you, visit a bridal shop and try on several styles to see which one appeals to you the most.

Once you have chosen the design, style and shape of your wedding dress, you are ready to consider the type of material. Silk and linen are two types of material that are commonly used to create wedding dresses. They both can be costly and linen is very delicate so you have to be careful with it when putting your dress together. There are materials that blend with these materials with other man-made materials, such as polyester to create a fabric that is beautiful and more forgiving.

You are now ready to work with the individual who will make the wedding dress for you and ultimately the wedding dress of your dreams!

What to Consider When Designing the Wedding dress of Your Dreams

Planning a wedding can be an exciting yet unnerving experience. It is an exciting time because of the ceremony for which you are preparing is special. It is an unnerving experience because there is so much to do and you want everything to be perfect. Of all the elements of your wedding ceremony that you will arrange, your wedding dress is probably the most significant.

Regardless of the style of wedding, all eyes will be on you. There is a lot of tradition steeped in wedding ceremonies, but there is room for you to wriggle your own special touch to make the moment memorable.

If you haven't considered it, designing your wedding dress can offer you a several benefits. Have you priced wedding dresses? Even the low-end brands cost upwards of $600. A lot goes into the cost of a wedding dress you purchase from a bridal shop.

You can avoid these additional costs typically passed onto the consumer by designing your own dress. You can probably save even more money if you have a relative or close friend with sewing skills to help you to bring your wedding dress design ideas to fruition. Other reason to design your own wedding dress is to have what no one else owns. A true one of a kind!

Choose your own wedding

The more popular method of saying your wedding vows now is to make them yourself and then say them to each other at the wedding, your vows are your own personal thoughts and feelings how you feel
about your partner, make your vows yourself and speak from the heart It doesn’t matter what you say but if you mean it, that’s what counts.

Your vows are kept secret from each other until it is time to say them, you can memorize them which most people do or you can have a slip of paper with you that helps you to say them as making your vows is a very emotional experience.

Whether you choose your own wedding vows or say the traditional vows they still mean the same thing, the still mean that you as a couple will fight through everything that you come to together and that nothing can keep you apart. That every single brick thrown at you isn’t run away from it is used to build a wall together if you catch my drift. Wedding vows are the most emotional and beautiful part of any wedding.

Wedding Vow

Wedding vows are the words that the couple who are getting married say to each other as they are standing up in front of all their guests and declaring their undying love for their partner, these vows could be either prepared by the couple or they could say the traditional vows.

It is becoming more and more popular to say your own vows to each other as it is more personal and intimate to each other. You can say anything in your vows, how much you love him, how much you need him or just how much you like him. It doesn’t matter what you say except that it make sense to the both of you and your partner and you understand the uniqueness in the vow.

There is a traditional wedding vow which is read by the minister of registry judge which is then repeated by the groom and the bride, these vows consist of sayings like until death do us part, through sickness and in health, for rich or poorer and they are true vows to each other that should not be broken and should symbolize the start to a new life together and forever.

The wedding toast

The wedding toast is a joyous feeling as you raise your glass and shout your happy feelings to the newly wed couple, then of course you have to clink your glass and make sure that either you don’t spill the champagne or break the champagne flutes…not a good idea to do either of those!.

After the toast is where you inspect your wedding favors these can be anything from sugar coated almonds to your actual champagne flute... so like I said be careful, he he.

When toasting the happy couple remember that they will be going through the rest of their lives together, making their way through everything that is going to face them and they will do it together, they will face their demons together and they will also share the most happiest of memories together like every couple should, married or not!

Wedding Toast for party.

When I say wedding toast I don’t mean that is what is for dinner at a wedding. I mean that is the part where the best man gets up and makes a speech then they all toast to the newly wedded couple. A happy memories and good times, they also tell a few jokes and lighten up the atmosphere then comes the sentimental part of the speech and then there it is, the toast, everyone raises up their glasses and toasts to the newly wed couple.
wedding toast is the time for the groom, best man or any other important figure to get up in front of the guests and say what they need to about the newly weds, they share

The wedding toast is usually done to celebrate the joining of two people who are in love and the joining of the two families involved. Although toasts are done for a lot of things, birthdays, funerals, anniversaries and so on the wedding toast is special. It is a right proper send of to the couple who have just been married.

The speech is also a great tradition and of course it is usually carried out by men and the women just sit there and have a laugh. The speech is very important as it lets the speaker get of their chest how they feel about their best friend, son or cousin or whoever getting married to their woman. Of course you don’t say anything bad in speech only good things!!

Wedding supplies for you.

Wedding supplies are also essential not just the hen and stag night supplies. Wedding supplies as I have said can be anything from shoes to flowers, dresses to venues. All the supplies need to be in working
order throughout the day to keep it running smoothly without any hitches.

When purchasing wedding supplies always try to purchase them plain as it is very easy to decorate them a lot cheaper than it would be to buy them decorated, that's a fact! If you can find any way to save money on your wedding or your wedding supply than do it as weddings are very expensive and more often than not run over your somewhat limited budget, unless of course your are filthy rich and do not need to worry about these small trivial facts!

Weddings are about the couple so make sure that the supplies that you buy are what your partner likes. So don’t forget him in the decision making although he isn’t saying much and staying well out of it I’m sure he would like to be included, women often get carried away with their mothers and friends and leave their man out of it, but try not to as his input is extremely valuable especially when it comes to the wedding supplies!

Wedding Supply.

Every wedding needs supplies, invitations, guest lists, wedding favors, vows! All these things take time to prepare but in the end they are well worth it especially when you remember what the end result is. Your wedding supplies can be anything from simple favors to intricate invitations and they all count, every as one of them!

One of the best supplies a woman getting married can get is her hen night goodies! Every women deserves a great send off before they get married and the best way to do this is to give her a great hen night. And of course any hen night needs supplies, fluffy ears, a magic wand and a pair of fairy wings! A hen night needs to be carried out with great though, where as a stag night is basically a stripper and a bar with lots of alcohol and a good time, but oh no a woman’s is got to be different, there’s a classy stripper, a night club then a good chip shop dinner.

Special wedding for you.

It is traditional for the bride and bride groom to have their first dance as a married couple, so it is best to make sure that your DJ has the track or if you have a band that the band knows how to play the song! After the newly weds get up to dance it then starts in order of the best man and man of honour, parents of the bride and the groom etc. Later on in the evening the father of the bride has a dance with his daughter, if the daughter’s father is not there than she is to dance with her father in law.

Songs are very important, they are like tags in your memory which when you hear the song takes you straight back to that memory and relives it! It is best to choose a song that means something to both you and your partner and will remain in your head for the rest of time.

Wedding Song for you...

"I will always love you" is a very popular favourite when it comes to weddings, but why choose a song like that when everyone else has had it? I personally feel you should choose a song with the greatest meaning to your relationship, the song should reflect how you feel about each other and although "I will always love you" may seem the perfect song, there has got to be something more deeper and intimate than that surely?!

Songs trigger memories of the past and present so choosing a song is extremely important as whenever you hear this song you are going to think of your wedding day, holding your new husband or your new wife close to you, smelling their perfume or aftershave and feeling their skin against yours. That memory is a truly treasured one so you should pick a song to match the intensity of the moment. Many churches will allow you to play a tune, but this has to be checked with your venue and what type of music allowed, and how loud it is allowed to be played etc. After the ceremony the real fun and boogying begins at the wedding reception.

Wedding Song

If every time you hear a song you go into a fit of pelvic gyrations, this is probably not a good choice for a wedding song. Songs of this nature are left for you and your mate's private listening pleasure. Remember, you will dance to your wedding song while your guests watch. The last thing you want to do is make them feel uncomfortable. Of course, the wedding song should be something unique and special for the couple. It may very well be the case that "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica, is an appropriate wedding song. However, if your wedding ceremony and reception takes place in a church, certain songs may be considered disrespectful or unacceptable. Make sure you obtain the proper approval for your wedding song choice.

Plain and simple, a wedding song should convey the love and devotion that the bride and groom have for one another. It's a good idea to listen closely to a song you are considering before you actually make it your wedding song. Many songs that are considered about love are often about breaking up. The wedding song should also be a song you both enjoy. If you can't agree on one particular song, a montage of two or more songs can serve as your wedding song.

Wedding Song Tips.

A wedding ceremony is a special occasion. The goal for most couples is to make the occasion as special as possible. A couple's wedding song is typically played during the reception when the couple performs their first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Of course, you can choose to play your wedding song during the wedding ceremony. Many people choose to hire a professional (often local talent or someone in the family with a pleasant voice) to sing their wedding song during the wedding ceremony before the bride makes her entrance. The following are some tips to help you with your wedding song selection.

In your pursuit of the perfect wedding song, many people will recommend that you choose a classic wedding song. Those that top the list include "Unchained Melody" by The Righteous Brothers, "At Last" by Etta James, "Endless Love" by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie, and "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole. While these songs are treasures in their own right, they have been chosen as a wedding song on so many occasions. Try to come up with a wedding song that everyone hasn't heard a million times.

Wedding bands.

The wedding bands symbolize unity and a constant circle, they are you and your partner together through everything, thick and thin, sickness and health and everything else that a married couple in love will go through together but it means that although there may be rocky or bubbly parts you will still be together to the end and the circle will continue! Some mothers pass their wedding rings down to their daughters as a symbol of love and friendship, not when they are married of course, but when their husband passes away and they are left widowed.

Wedding rings are usually bought from a jeweller but they can be purchased second hand or even on the internet, yes the internet does sell everything these days! The most important part of the wedding is saying "I do" then slipping that ring onto the person that you love finger knowing that you will spend the rest of your life loving them and cherishing them, no day is more special than your wedding day!

Wedding

After everyone has eaten and admired their wedding favors and the special gifts have been handed out to the members of the guests that have played a special part in the wedding the entertainment starts. The entertainment is usually a DJ or a live band, sometimes though couples get really creative and go for a magician or even a comedian. Keeping the guests entertained is a great part of the wedding as it makes you feel good to know that everything that you have done has made all these people happy.

The wedding reception is the most favourable part of any wedding, the ceremony is usually boring and the guests are glad to get off to the reception to have a good time. The wedding reception is another type of celebration of your marriage. The next celebration which is undoubtedly the best is the honey moon which you will no doubt enjoy thoroughly!

Wedding Ring.

You get to the alter and you say your I do’s and it's time for the best man to present the wedding rings, he pats his top pockets then his bottom pockets and you stare at him getting worried that may be he has forgotten or lost the most important part of your wedding, the rings! But there they are in his inside pocket and he passes them over to you and a look of relief washes over your face!

Wedding rings are the be all and end all to any wedding, they are usually just plain gold bands and it is the engagement ring that has the diamonds. But some men like to spoil a woman and get her a wedding ring encrusted with diamonds. Like they say diamonds are a girl's best friend! The wedding rings are usually put on the fingers at the end of the vows and then there is the famous “kiss the bride” moment.

The wedding reception.

After the wedding ceremony is carried out, every one that needs to has said their I do’s, the confetti has been thrown and the carriage arrives to take the bride and groom away, the bride and groom head of to the wedding reception to meet the guests, of course the guests from the ceremony are all going but some people only attend the reception. The ceremony is more for family than friends. So once you arrive at the reception what happens then? A party!!!

The wedding reception is where the entertainment and the food is, no doubt the newly weds will be starving after the nerves and the shock of getting married has worn of. The reception is a great time for friends and family to get to know each other as well they are all one big circle of family and need to get along, for your sake! The wedding reception then starts of with a speech, a toast, some food and then the entertainment. The food can either be hot plate served or it can be hot and cold buffet style dinner whatever you choose is loved by all guests, no doubt the happily married couple will be starving after the shock of marriage and the release of the nerves.

Your wedding planning.

There are great tips and advice to help your wedding planning go a lot easier and a lot less stressful. On the internet there are articles, and tools to help you keep your wedding calm, there are also lots of television shows in channels like the discovery channel which are full of informative ideas for your wedding and how to plan things such as the flowers, the cake and the dress.

One of the great tips I like is to make a checklist, sit down and think of everything that needs to be done a few weeks before the planning starts, so if you forget anything you have a few weeks to make sure everything is on the list, an even bigger tip is not to loose the list!!! Not to mention make sure that you stick to your budget as weddings can be very expensive but they can also cost a lot less if you do proper planning and budgeting.

With the right amount of wedding planning and the right amount of time and effort everyone’s wedding can go as smooth as a baby’s bottom, and you can enjoy your perfect day to the fullest!

Wedding Planning

There is a great deal of planning that goes into any large event but a wedding takes a lot of planning and organising. You have to make sure that the venue is booked, the dress fits, the bridesmaids have their dresses, the flowers are going to be there, the minister is well, the music is still on, the reception hall is ready, the guest are coming, your bride or groom is coming and the rings are there! Like I said: a lot of planning for a wedding!!!

A wedding needs to be carried out with most organising as possible, everything should run smoothly without any hitches and that requires a lot of planning. Usually families and friends get together to sort out the wedding but sometimes people hire a wedding planner! They are quite expensive but have a lot of expertise in the field of weddings; I think that they have a great job!

Wedding planning requires a knack, a knack to know how things work and how things will go, you need to be confident enough to ensure that the day runs as smooth as a lake and not like a waterfall, in fact water features are great at a wedding keep that in mind!

Wedding planners.

Wedding planners are usually women or eccentric men who may be have one of the best jobs in the world. They have control and organisational skills and know how to make things work, but it does not always suit the bride and the groom, often a wedding planner’s own tastes come into play and that then takes the special feelings and unique moments out of planning a wedding!

I say the best thing that you can do is stick together with the support of your friends and family and muddle through with the wedding plans, they may not the best organized or the fanciest but they are yours and your partners moments together leading up to your big day, the last chance you will have to spend as an unofficial couple, as in the next few months you will be married, and then there is no going back!

Wedding Planner

Many people plan their weddings with their family and friends and partner, but some people who can afford to splash their cash hire a wedding planner. If you have seen the film “Wedding Planner” that does not always happen, trust me, you need not be worried about your husband running away with the wedding planner. A wedding planners job is to basically help you take the weight of the wedding of your shoulders and take the brunt of it on theirs, they do most of the organizing you just do the choosing. They are there to help make your day even more special, and make you pay quite a bit more!!!

But does a wedding planner really make a difference in a wedding? Do they make it all that more organized? Do they really add that missing touch? The truth is no, yes they help you with the organising but it is like someone else takes over your special day, you don’t have a lot of say in things and things just seem to take heed with you standing back and watching your wedding planner make all the decisions. Sometimes you get a wedding planner that is great and you get on well but other ones are like the devil let loose and rain on your parade!

Wedding photography is wonderful.

A family friend usually films the wedding and guests. The wedding is filmed right from the beginning, from the people arriving to the church, from the ceremony right through to the end of the reception party. It is good to have your wedding filmed as that is another token of your special day that you can sit down and watch in twenty or so years later and remember how great your day was.

Wedding photography is great as it allows you to capture everyone’s graciousness and happiness on the special day. Wedding photography although not cheap is a wonderful thing to have on your special day.

The best wedding photography.

Men and women dress up their best to attend a wedding, and get married. This is may be one of the days they will experience pure beauty and it should be captured on film. Many couple hire a wedding photographer for their wedding and usually have their wedding filmed; although it is not usually a professional who films the wedding professionals usually edit them. You do not have to have a professional photographer come. If you are on low budget a friend that is good with a camera is in most cases good enough. Buy your own camera and get photos developed at a photo shop.

To have a professional come and do the portraits is a little bit on the expensive side but not so much that it is unaffordable. They arrive at the wedding before the ceremony and take a few pictures of the guests and children and so on, then he will probably get one of you walking down the aisle or one of you and your partner at the alter or minister or registry desk. He will then usually go outside to do the large majority of pictures, the bride and groom, then bridesmaids, man of honour and family pictures.

The pictures are very difficult to get done if the weather is bad and it is usually recommended that the pictures be taken inside if the day isn’t nice, No one likes rain on their wedding day! The wedding pictures are then taken away by the photographer and he then makes a portfolio of them for the bride and whoever requests a few pictures. Of course he has to be paid extra to make more pictures than what has been organized.

Wedding special

At the wedding reception entertainment and music is a must, whether this comes in the form of a DJ, live band or even a comedian there should be great music and good food, with lots of people dancing. It is traditional for the newly weds to have their first dance as a newly married couple before any one else has a dance on the floor, this is where you usually pick a favourite meaningful song that has a lot of significance to you and your partner as it serves as a memory reminder, whenever you hear that song from now on your mind will flash back to your first wedding dance with each other and your first day as a married couple.

Wedding music is important, it helps people to be happy. Music is an aphrodisiac and makes people feel good. And to be honest it will bring lots of laughs and happy memories as when the guests and family start to have their drinks their dancing becomes more frequent and enjoyable. A wedding brings families of the bride and groom closer so they could even dance together to help it along, making sure that everyone has a great time and a good dance is imperative to your wedding. Not only your guests of course, you and your new husband or wife got to be sure they are having the best day of their life!

Wedding Music

Many couple like to enjoy music at their wedding; the music can be played throughout the ceremony as well as the reception so you have to think about that as well. Many couples play the traditional "here comes the bride" on the organs or the piano at the ceremony as the bride is walking down the aisle with the man that is going to give her away which is usually the bride’s father but any important male in her life can be nominated as the person who gives her away! Music can be traditional, jazzy, and funky or indeed anything you want it to be.

During the ceremony wedding music is allowed to be played but only at the start you need silence for the exchange of the vows and making the marriage legal, after the ceremony when you are leaving the church or garden or office, in fact anywhere that you have been married, many newly weds play a lively happy song to guide them out of their venue and on to their wedding reception.

Wedding

People often respond to invitation with a phone call so a list needs to be updated regularly by the bride or groom and unfortunately there is always someone who needs to pull out at last minute so be aware that this could very easily happen to you.

When creating the wedding invitation make sure that you include the feeling of the wedding that you will be having, is it going to be a massive stunning church wedding, or a beautiful peaceful garden wedding? All these factors need to be included in the invitation and no doubt people will be asking you what to wear so make sure you include whether the dress code is formal or informal.

Although the wedding invitations are a bid deal the most serious part is that the bride and groom are together on this very special day, they are the most important people on this special day!

Wedding Invitations

Ahh the wedding invitations, nothing is more insane than making sure that everyone you know and like has been welcomed to your special day, and all that aren’t welcome are to be avoided and uninformed about the wedding! You have to make a list and check it over and over again making sure everyone has been included and it makes matters even worse if there is only limited seating! You have to make sure that you have or are able to get addresses for everyone that has been invited and get their prompt replies so you can make sure that you have enough seats and dinner places.

The wedding invitations can be produced in many styles and shapes, they can be tasteful and classy or they can be warm and inviting. They list who is getting married, when they are getting married and what time. It also usually lists the parents of the bride and groom. Wedding invitations are usually mailed out to people or handed out by hand if you often see them. Most wedding invitations require a reply so a dinner place can be set and a seat can be booked. Often couples who are due to be married set a limit of people they invite as each person costs money to attend and the bride and the groom are the people who are forking out the cash!

Invitation Etiquette

Getting Down to the Particulars
Numbers are important when preparing a wedding invitation. Knowing how many invitations to mail and when to mail them are important numbers for your wedding invitation. The general guidelines for sending out invitations to your wedding is six weeks to 12 months before the ceremony. If you are inviting guests from out-of-town you should allow an extended amount of time for the individual to receive the wedding invitation and to make arrangements to attend.

Unless everyone who receives a wedding invitation will be invited to the reception, it is standard practice to include a separate card announcing the particulars of the reception with the wedding invitation of those you intend to invite to the reception. No matter how you plan, you will always need an extra wedding invitation. As a rule, it is a good idea to order at least 25 extra invitations.

Considering Style
When your guests receive their wedding invitation, they should receive more than a simple card with information on it. Add as much creative flair to your wedding invitation that you possibly can. Ideas for making a wedding invitation unique include adding color, accessories, and aromas. You can experiment with each of these elements when deciding on the style of wedding invitation to use or view samples from a printer, online catalog, or those within a stationary shop.

Wedding Invitation Etiquette

With all the expenses typically associated with preparing for a wedding, there is the temptation to put less emphasis on certain aspects of the ceremony. Stationary often falls into this category. Invitations, thank you and note cards, and orders of service are examples of stationary that people choose to use for their ceremony. Of these, you don't want to diminish the quality of wedding invitation that you use. Your wedding invitation is what people see first regarding your wedding. It sets the tone of what your guests can expect when they attend the wedding ceremony. A wedding invitation generally includes key features and there are some considerations to help you with your choice of wedding invitation style. You don't have to spend a significant amount of money on a particular wedding invitation style, but there are some guidelines you can follow to make them a success.

Word Choice
What you say and how you say it is an important part of a wedding invitation. At the very least you want to include information that will inform you guests of the what, where, why, and when of the ceremony. The obvious information that should be included in a wedding invitation is the names of the bride and groom, as well as the date, time, and venue of the ceremony. The names of the individuals who are hosting the wedding ceremony (paying for it) should appear on the wedding invitation. There really isn't one standard for how this information should appear on the wedding invitation, so you can use your best judgment or seek advice from a printer.

Hair Style

On your wedding day, hundreds of eyes will be on you, and your chosen wedding hair style can either complete the picture or detract from it. That is why it is so important to choose the perfect formal hairstyle well in advance of the big day so that you and your stylist can get it right and make custom additions to your wedding hair style. Nothing is worse than a hastily crafted coif decided upon only minutes before the ceremony, take the time with your stylist to go over what looks suit you and what looks don’t, obviously avoid the looks that don’t suit you. Larger figures should wear their hair up as this draws attention and slims the face down, slimmer brides should look at curls which accentuate the face and shoulders.

Men may seem as though they don’t care about their wedding hair style and women are none the wiser to it, but in fact the bride groom spends at least 15 minutes making sure all the gel is in the correct plane and he has no sticky up bits!!

A great wedding hair style is crucial, especially for those wedding pictures, make sure it's not some kind of style which is going to fall all over the place or is going to be blown around in high winds! That way you can be sure of looking great in those pictures!

Wedding Hair Style

Women like to look glamorous, elegant and sexy on their wedding day so they usually take the time to choose an extravagant dress, stunning shoes and make up, and then there is the hair style. Whoa boy! Women usually have a stylist visit them when they are getting ready for the wedding, which costs a fortune, or they visit the parlour early in the morning before their wedding to get their chosen hair style done.

A woman's hair may be her crowning glory, but getting a new 'do' just before a big event in your life can be a major mistake. Plan ahead with any chemical treatments - bleaching, colouring, streaking, perming or straightening - and if you're considering any radical changes in length or style do it at least six to eight weeks before the big event, this way it gives you and your hair time to adjust together and get a “working relationship” on the go.

Wedding special

The service doesn’t stop there though, there is the second fitting which they make you come back for to try on the dress that they have ordered to make sure they have the measurements correct and to make sure that you haven’t put on or taken of a lot of weight so the gown won't fit! Then there is the last fitting just to make sure that everything is right.

But to save yourself time and money you could always look in at the dresses that they have in store, many wedding parlours now order in advance to make sure they have things cheaper for people who can't afford to have that extravagant dress on the cover of the newest wedding magazine, but you never know you may find something in the shop that is just as stunning.

A wedding gown is considered one of the top priorities on that day! If your woman doesn’t get the prettiest dress than you will hear about it over and over and over again until she is blue in the face, so make it quick and get that sorted first!

Wedding Gown

All women love to look beautiful and what a better day than her wedding day! Wedding gowns are made to be as extravagant or a discreet as you like. The last brides of the century were choosing elegant Western dresses with ball gown, princess and sheath styling, contemporary styles with bold colour and richly textured African gowns, whereas the groom rarely leaves his tuxedo or kilt suit arrangement, women when it come to dress are a lot more experimental than men…

A wedding gown is important in any wedding, it gives a woman that feel of being one; womanly and beautiful, and two; it symbolises the start of a new relationship, a new life and love. Weddings are a time of pure joy and fun so no one should be uncomfortable in their wedding gown. Always make sure that you choose a gown that’s comfortable as well as beautiful.

The best thing to do when shopping for a wedding gown is go to your local wedding shop and get fitted and measured for a wedding dress, they will then assist you on choosing the right dress, shoes and accessories.

Wedding

It is not only guests that give gifts though, the couple are to give gifts as well, the parents are to get one as a thank for raising you and that you will not forget them when you have your own family. If you will be having a large wedding party, it is oftentimes a better idea to choose two gifts - one for the males and one for the females - and buy them in bulk, that way it keeps the costs down and if you are having a smaller wedding than invest in a somewhat more personalised gifts as this is not too expensive when there are not a lot of people to cater for.

Weddings aren’t all about gifts though but it is nice to celebrate this day just as you celebrate every other special day, birthdays, valentines and Christmas. All are celebrated with gifts and a wedding should be no different!

Wedding Gift

It is traditional for you to give the married couple a wedding gift when you are invited to someones wedding. It does not have to be something expensive or grand, many people usually take house gifts such as toasters, kettles, plate sets and glasses. The couple often prepare what is called a wedding list which is where they make note of all the things that they need or want and the main guests such as mothers, fathers sisters, brothers and other family members all put together and get the gifts of the list, friends usually bring their own gifts.

A wedding gift can be anything! It does not need to be one of the gifts on the wedding list. It can be a home product, a pamper products or even a holiday. Gifts are given to the couple by everyone though, so don’t forget yours. They aren’t opened at the wedding they are taken home and than the bride and groom go through them alone. So if you don’t get a massive gift than no one will know.

It isn’t the best idea to take the gifts to the wedding; gifts can easily be damaged or misplaced. Remember, the last thing on the couple's mind that night will be gathering up gifts. It could easily be left behind. Send the gift to the address on the registry or the RSVP address on the wedding invitation. Etiquette says that it is a nice gesture to send a gift whether or not you plan on attending.

Your Wedding Party

Gifts for Men
Men tend to be less fussy than women about the type of wedding gift they receive. While women treasure a sentimental wedding gift, men favor a wedding gift that is useful or fun. A wedding gift that would past muster with a groomsmen would include a money clip, pocket watch, and beer mug. These items are great as an individual wedding gift or for a group of groomsmen. To personalize a wedding gift for a groomsmen you can easily engrave the gift.

Gifts for Children
Children are precious in a wedding ceremony. Don't leave them out when you are considering giving each member of your wedding party a wedding gift. If a child is very young, you have to be careful that the wedding gift you give them doesn't keep them from doing their wedding duties. A good option is to give a wedding gift that the child can use during the ceremony or something that is not a toy.

Make it Personal
There is no rule that says that you have to buy everyone the same wedding gift. It's very likely that you are closer to members of your wedding party than others. In this case you can give a wedding gift that matches your sentiments. Use your best judgment when giving a personal wedding gift. You don't want a heated situation to develop before your ceremony over a wedding gift! An alternative is to give each person the same wedding gift and add personal flair by giving a wedding gift with each person's name or initials. This way you steer clear of favoritism and a last minute riot.

Wedding Gift Ideas for Your Wedding Party

The bride and groom are the center of the wedding ceremony, but there are others in the wedding party that also contribute a significant amount of time and effort to help make your ceremony all that you have dreamed. In addition to the bride and groom, a wedding party typically includes bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls, and ring bearers. Wedding tradition says that the appropriate time to give a wedding gift to your wedding party is just before the ceremony. If the wedding gift is something the individual will use during the wedding, you might want to give it to your wedding party at your last rehearsal or dinner, if you have one planned.

Gifts for Females
Since you too are a female, you will probably have the easiest time choosing a wedding gift for the women in your wedding ceremony. Just think, what type of wedding gift would make you feel appreciated? Common ideas for an ideal wedding gift for a bridesmaid include jewelry, handbags, and wedding dress accessories. If you have known your bridesmaids for many years, you may want to opt for a wedding gift that reflects the nature of your friendship. Are you creative? Try writing a poem dedicated to each bridesmaid. You could place the poem in a special photo album containing pictures of you and the bridesmaid.

Wedding

Often at the reception parents are given a bunch of flowers in a presentation such as a basket, or large bouquet for a large thank you for all the work that they have done with the wedding and a thank you for just being there for them when they needed them most. Other special players in the wedding usually receive gifts as well and all guests take home wedding favors.

Instead of purchasing floral arrangements, to make things cheaper and more personal you could always make your flower arrangements yourself. Your local library and book shop will have plenty flower arranging books so you are sure to find something somewhere that will help you to choose a good pattern of colours and styles to suit your wedding. Creating your own arrangement adds that unique touch to your wedding and saves you money at the same time.

Wedding flowers are at a wedding to help present the venue in a light mood, flowers are there for decoration, but be warned if hay fever bothers you.... stay away!!!

Wedding Flower

When you book your wedding venue whether it be a church or registry office, garden flowers are usually purchased to be there at your wedding. These are may be one of the most expensive things for the wedding after the dress and the cake, believe it or not the marriage license isn’t that big a fee. Usually where you are getting married is covered in beautiful flowers to set the mood, although if you have it in a garden than the flowers are already there, so you don’t really need to worry about that, you just have to worry about the rain!

Not only does the hall or church have to be decorated in flowers, usually the bride carries a bouquet and so do the bridesmaids and flower girls. The general tip is to get flowers that match the theme and colour of the dresses. If the theme is Christmas than red and green should be the colours that you are interested in, or if it is valentines day than red flowers. If you really want a stunning bouquets for the bride very light colours will accentuate her dress and her beauty taking very little attention of her but still giving her the elegant classy look.

Wedding Favor

When guests are invited to a wedding they usually leave with what is called a wedding favor. These are traditionally sugar coated almonds in little net bags with a ribbon tied around them. But these days people are being more unique and creative and starting out with their own design and logo for the wedding favors.

Many people theme their wedding and they usually match the theme of the wedding to the wedding favors for example if you are have a Christmas wedding than your favours could be little snowmen wrapped up as Christmas presents. Many people are avoiding the traditional almond favors and turning to something a little bit more creative.

I have read stories from people who have used long stem silk roses as their favors with their wedding details attached by ribbon; people have used watering cans with tea light candles inside them, couple have bought champagne flutes and had their wedding message inscribed for each guest to take home and others use picture frames with wedding pictures or details inside of them!

Adding Your Unique Touch

In addition to being a keepsake, a wedding favor should be unique. To make a wedding favor unique, you can add a twist to a traditional idea or create something completely your own. Divinity or candy is a common gift that you can dress up with decorative containers or wrappings. It is completely acceptable to make the candy or divinity yourself or have someone with cooking skills take care of this for you. A candle makes an excellent wedding favor because there are so many fragrances, colors, and accessories that you can use to make them a unique wedding favor. If you go with candles as a wedding favor, you might to consider taking a candle making class. Check your local area to see if any of the hobby shops have candle-making classes. This is a fun activity that the entire wedding party can participate in.

Cost
You don't have to spend a lot of money to create a unique wedding favor to give their wedding guests. It is an unspoken truth that a wedding favor is inexpensive. Even if you are creating the most formal wedding ceremony, your wedding favor should be simple and cheap.

Wedding favor Ideas You Can Create Yourself

If you have ever attended a wedding, you probably remember the keepsakes that the bride and groom gave their guests. Giving each guest a wedding favor is part of the tradition of the wedding ceremony. Any bridal shop will have various wedding favors from which you can choose. For a more unique touch you can design and create your own style of wedding favor to give guests. Not only does this add a special touch to the ceremony, but it also provides an opportunity for the individuals in the wedding party to spend time together before the ceremony in an occasion that is not as hectic. A customized wedding favor can also save you money since you can usually buy the materials you need at any hobby shop.

More than a Keepsake
A wedding favor can serve many purposes. A keepsake is the main reason that people give a wedding favor at weddings. A wedding favor can also serve the purpose of sending off the bride and grooms. A very popular wedding favor that you can make without spending much time and money are bubbles. When the wedding couple is leaving for their honeymoon venture, the guests generally send off the couple with a cloud of bubbles. When you make the decision to give each guest a wedding favor that is memorable, it is a good idea to come up with a wedding favor idea that is associated with the bride and groom.

Wedding

The wedding dress is usually worn throughout the whole wedding, reception included. Many women find it hard to dance in their dress as a lot of bride’s trip over their trail!!!

Wedding dresses can be bought virtually anywhere; there are special boutiques which are specifically for wedding clothes, such as dresses, suits and shoes. A lot of wedding dresses can be bought second hand or online! They are usually very expensive to buy new but they can be hired if you can not afford to purchase one. Any wedding dress can be spectacular it is all in the eye of the beholder, isn’t it?!

What counts the most in any wedding is that both the bride and groom are happy, whether it’s a big church wedding or a general registrar office wedding. It doesn’t matter if the wedding dress is white, cream gold silver or red! All that matters is that the couple are happily in love and are ready to settle down and spend the rest of their lives loving each other!

Wedding Dress

The most important part of any wedding is the dress; many think that this is only the woman’s point of view but the men know that if the woman doesn’t get her dress than there will be hell to pay. The wedding dress is an old tradition that women love to follow, it makes them feel womanly and beautiful to be standing up in front of their friends and family wearing a traditional long white gown.

There is speculation about a white wedding dress. Many woman are not advised to wear white if they have had sex before marriage, they are advised that cream or silver should be their choice of colour for a dress, as white sanctifies purity and innocence and the church believes that sex before marriage is sin.

A traditional wedding dress is usually white with long sleeves and a very long trail. The wedding dress is a crucial part of any wedding and is probably the most stunning and wonderful part, except the marriage vows of course! There is an old tradition followed by women which consists of something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue, the bride then tries to find all of these items, the shoes are usually old, the dress is mainly new, the necklace is generally borrowed and something blue is usually the garter worn by the bride.

Wedding

One thing to be sure of when you are doing your wedding decorations is that your reception hall is beautifully decorated as that is where you will spend the rest of the night partying and eating away. That is also what your guests will go to do. The wedding is not all about you anymore, oh no, it is about keeping those guests happy and preventing any wedding crashers! During the ceremony you want to have stunning pictures taken and that can't happen if there is no beautiful decorations except you and your partner. Also choosing a venue is important to some places won't let you do the decorating and you will have to pay extra for them to do it, and some places won't allow it at all.

When choosing your wedding decorations make sure that they are not too bright and are going to take all the attention of you as a couple, as you need all the attention you can get as this is your big day, not the decorations’ big day! Remember also that they can be a lot cheaper than what most pay for them so keep your eye out for a bargain and who knows what you will find!

Wedding Decoration

The hall or the church where the couples to be married is usually decorated with ribbons and flowers done by professionals but the cheaper way is to do it yourself or get your family and friends to help you. You can buy lots of threads of ribbon from your local craft store and well you know how easy flowers are to get. All you need is a teaching techniques book for the flowers and you are on your way to saving yourself a lot of money.

Every wedding runs over budget but these things can’t be helped, you can cut down on your wedding decoration costs by doing most of it yourself or have your family do it for you. Make your own decorations, candles in wreaths of flowers are a good one and though you may think it is hard to do it, it really isn’t, just purchase a home teaching book and you are half way there! Items can be picked up so much cheaper if you shop for them yourself than if you leave it for the professionals to do, they always seem to have a knack of purchasing really expensive items then billing you for it…Hmm I wonder why?

Decoration Made Simple

Some wedding ceremonies that are based on religious principles include candles, but you don't have to be affiliated with a particular religious group to consider candles as a wedding decoration item. In addition to contributing to a romantic setting, candles can create a fragrant air that will also make the wedding pleasant. You can add candles to both your wedding and reception venue. Look for colorful and fragrant varieties (not too strong that they conflict with the aroma of your flowers).

Brides often make a mistake in thinking that they are limited in the variety of color they can use in their wedding. Depending on what you use, color can enhance your theme. If you're not sure what colors to use when selecting wedding decoration, consider your bridesmaids' dresses, the color of your wedding flower, or any other color that is already a part of your wedding. The only concern with using color as a wedding decoration guide is not to become too overwhelming. For example, colorful ribbon is a good idea as long as you use it sparsely.

Wedding Decoration Made Simple

Hiring a wedding consultant who specializes in wedding decoration can add $2000 or more to your wedding cost. You can save this money for your honeymoon or put it towards the purchase of a new home and coordinate your wedding decoration yourself. So, what is considered a "good" wedding decoration? You can go with some of the traditional items of wedding decoration that people include in their weddings, or be creative. Keep in mind that a wedding decoration should complement the theme of your wedding and symbolize the bond that you and your mate share.

Can you imagine a wedding without flowers? Flowers are an essential wedding decoration because they symbolize newness of life. This is one wedding decoration that you can have fun with. Unless you just overwhelm the wedding venue with too many flowers, it's very difficult to mess up with flower. Keep the season and the theme of your wedding in mind when considering this wedding decoration. If your wedding ceremony will take place outside, you may want to use silk flowers so you don't have to worry about the flowers wilting. This is especially true with tulips and roses. Silk flowers don't have the negative stigma of being cheap as they did in past years. In fact, if you use a professional florist, they will probably incorporate silk flowers into your floral arrangements.

Wedding

Wedding crashers are all unique, they all have their own special way to ruin some ones special day, they may be someone you know or some complete stranger but the fact of the matter is they still come in and try to ruin the most special day of your life which I think is extremely selfish, rude and disrespectful. Your wedding is supposed to be a marvellous day and not torn apart by some mad person wanting to get a quick high.

The wedding crasher may just be someone playing a silly joke and the bride or the groom at the reception, or indeed may not be someone at the wedding at all, he or she maybe someone that you really depended on to be there and they didn’t come and you were left short. A wedding crasher is not always someone who deliberately messes up your wedding, it is sometimes accidental but in the end it is not reversible!

Your wedding should be one of the best days of your life and enjoyed to the fullest, when it is crashed this cannot happen and all the effort of planning and carrying out of the wedding is somewhat a little disappointing as you tried so hard to have the perfect day and it was still ruined, but when this happens the main thing you have to remember is that you are still getting married and going to spend the rest of your days together, holding each other and sharing these fond and funny moments.

Wedding Crasher

No wedding ever goes perfect there is always some kind of setback, whether that is the bride or groom arriving at the church or the registry office late, the cake falling and smashing, the flowers not arriving, the best man having to cancel at the last minute or worst of all the wedding crasher!!! Wedding crashers can’t be avoided, they either mess up your ceremony or they attack at the reception either way it certainly does add a bit of uniqueness to you wedding!

Your wedding is going great, you have said your I do’s, the best man goes to get your rings, you place them on each others fingers then all of a sudden someone bursts in and starts proclaiming that you should not be married, of course this person is blind drunk and does not have a clue as to what he or she is saying but the wedding has been spoilt and worst of all they didn’t wait until the reception!
